1. Orlando Youth Alliance

Orlando stands asthe city where the horrific Pulse Nightclub shooting happened just last year.

In the recent months, the city and its people have stayed strong, focused on helping to provide a safe space for the victims of the shooting, along with the other officers of the LGBTQ+ community.

The Orlando Youth Alliance, also known as OYA, is a non-profit thats committed to providing as one of those safe spaces. OYA is mainly for young representatives from the LGBTQ+ community, meant to gather those unable to support themselves and help one another through their developments in life.

2. National Center For Transgender Equality

As idiotic debates about bathroom usage have been heating up in the last year, more and more attention has been placed on assisting the transgender community and purposing discrimination.

In that vein, the National Center for Transgender Equality, or NCTE, is the leading advocacy group for progressive change for transgender people.

The NCTE has existed since 2003, continuing to undertake multiple projects year after year. Currently, NCTE has a Racial and Economic Justice Initiative( REJI) for transgender people of color and a Trans Legal Services Network( TLSN) to assist in the legal be necessary for the transgender community.

Their mission is to end discrimination and violenceagainst transgender people.

The Trevor Project is a non-profit organization that focuses on helping to prevent suicide among LGBTQ+ youths.
